Ultimate Guide to Honey Butter Old Bay Shrimp

A quick and incredibly flavorful dish featuring succulent shrimp tossed in a sweet and savory sauce of honey, butter, and iconic Old Bay seasoning. Perfect for a weeknight dinner!

  • Total Time: 20 minutes

Ingredients

Scale

1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined

3 tablespoons unsalted butter

3 tablespoons honey

3 cloves garlic, minced

2 teaspoons Old Bay seasoning

Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

1 lemon, for serving (optional)

Instructions

1. Pat the peeled and deveined shrimp completely dry with paper towels. Season them generously with the Old Bay seasoning, salt, and pepper.

2. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium-high heat.

3. Add the minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.

4. Add the seasoned shrimp to the skillet in a single layer, ensuring not to overcrowd the pan (cook in batches if necessary).

5. Cook the shrimp for 2-3 minutes per side, until they turn pink and opaque and have a nice sear.

6. During the last minute of cooking, drizzle the honey over the shrimp and toss to coat everything in the bubbling honey butter sauce.

7. Remove from heat, stir in the fresh parsley, and serve immediately with lemon wedges on the side for squeezing, if desired.
