Surf and Turf

Juicy steak paired with buttery garlic shrimp or lobster, finished with fresh herbs and lemon. A restaurant-quality meal perfect for special occasions.

Ingredients

  • 2 ribeye or filet mignon steaks
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, smashed
  • 2 sprigs fresh thyme or rosemary
  • 8 large shrimp or 2 lobster tails
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • Juice of 1/2 lemon
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, or salad (optional sides)

Instructions

  1. Season steaks with salt and pepper. Sear 2–3 minutes per side in hot oil. Add butter, garlic, and herbs; baste for 1–2 minutes. Remove and rest.
  2. For seafood, clean and season shrimp (or split lobster tails). Melt butter in a skillet, sauté garlic, then cook shrimp 2–3 minutes per side or lobster 4–5 minutes. Finish with lemon juice.
  3. Plate steak and seafood together. Garnish with herbs and lemon wedges. Serve with sides.
