- Fine sea salt and freshly cracked black pepper
- 2 tablespoons avocado oil, divided
- 1 large white onion, thinly sliced
- 1 small green cabbage, chopped into bite-sized pieces

- 2/3 cup shredded carrots
- Optional toppings: sliced green onions, toasted sesame seeds
Sesame Ginger Sauce Ingredients:
- ½ cup low-sodium soy sauce
- ⅓ cup water
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup (or your preferred sweetener)
- 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
- 1–2 teaspoons chili garlic sauce (adjust to taste)
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- ½ teaspoon toasted sesame oil
Instructions
- Prepare the Sauce: Whisk all sesame ginger sauce ingredients in a bowl or shake in a jar until smooth. Set aside.
- Cook the Beef: Season beef with salt and pepper. Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a wok over high heat. Add the beef and stir-fry for 4–5 minutes until cooked through. Transfer to a plate.
- Cook the Vegetables: Add the remaining oil to the wok. Stir-fry onion for 2 minutes, then add cabbage, garlic, and carrots. Cook for 2–4 minutes, just until the cabbage softens.
