Olive Garden Alfredo Sauce Recipe: Creamy, Cheesy & Easy Copycat Favorite

This Olive Garden Alfredo Sauce recipe is rich, creamy, and restaurant-quality. Made with real butter, heavy cream, garlic, and two cheeses, it’s perfect for fettuccine or any pasta you love.

  • Total Time: 15 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • garlic cloves, minced
  • pint heavy cream (or half and half)
  • cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ cup Romano cheese
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

Instructions

1. Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat.

2. Add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds.

3. Pour in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.

4. Add Parmesan and Romano cheese gradually, stirring constantly.

5. Season with salt and pepper, and stir until thickened.

6. Serve immediately over pasta.

Notes

For a lighter version, use half and half instead of heavy cream. Add a tablespoon of cream cheese if you need extra thickness. Do not boil the sauce.
