Ingredients
* 2 lbs ground beef
* 1 can (10.5 oz) French onion soup
* 1 cup breadcrumbs
* 1 cup Swiss cheese, shredded
* 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
* 1 egg
* Salt and pepper to taste
* Optional: spices like garlic powder and onion powder
Instructions
1. Caramelize onions (optional, see above).
2. In a bowl, mix ground beef, French onion soup, breadcrumbs, caramelized onions (if used), parsley, egg, salt, and pepper.
3. Shape the mixture into a loaf and place in the slow cooker.
4. Cook on low for 6-8 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F.
5. Add Swiss cheese on top during the last 30 minutes of cooking.
