Ingredients
* 1 lb chicken sausage
* 2 Granny Smith or Honeycrisp apples
* 4 cups chopped cabbage
* 1 large onion, sliced
* 2 tablespoons olive oil
* 2 tablespoons butter
* 1 teaspoon dried thyme
* 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
* 1 cup chicken broth
* 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
* Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
2. Heat olive oil and butter in a skillet over medium-high heat.
3. Sauté the chicken sausage until browned (5-7 minutes).
4. Add sliced onions and cook until translucent (3-4 minutes).
5. Add sliced apples and cook until softened (3-5 minutes).
6. Stir in chopped cabbage and mix well.
7. Pour chicken broth and season with thyme, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
8. Transfer to the oven and bake for 25-30 minutes.
