- 1/2 lb Italian sausage, casings removed
- 1 cup pepperoni slices, chopped
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 refrigerated pie crust (or homemade, for a 9-inch deep-dish pan)
- 1 lb ground beef
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup pizza sauce (plus extra for drizzling)
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt & black pepper, to taste
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Heat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a deep-dish pie pan and line with crust.
- Cook Meat: In a skillet, heat olive oil. Sauté onions and garlic until softened. Add ground beef and sausage, cooking until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Add Flavor: Stir in pepperoni, pizza sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Remove from heat.
- Assemble Pie: Spread half of the cheeses over crust. Add meat mixture evenly. Top with remaining cheese.
- Bake: Bake 30–35 minutes, until crust is golden and cheese is bubbling.
- Serve: Cool 5–10 minutes before slicing. Optional: drizzle with pizza sauce or sprinkle with parsley.
