BLT Classic Sandwich

Ingredients

  • 2 slices white or whole wheat bread, toasted
  • 4 slices crispy turkey bacon
  • 2 slices ripe tomato
  • 23 fresh lettuce leaves (iceberg or romaine)
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Toast the Bread – Toast both slices until golden and crisp.
  2. Cook the Bacon – In a skillet, cook turkey bacon over medium heat until crispy. Drain on paper towels.
  3. Assemble the Sandwich – Spread mayonnaise on one side of each toasted bread slice. Layer lettuce, then tomato slices. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Add the Bacon – Place crispy bacon on top of the tomatoes.
  5. Finish and Serve – Top with the second slice of bread, mayo-side down. Press gently, slice in half, and enjoy immediately.

Notes

  1. For extra flavor, add avocado slices or a fried egg.
  2. Store bacon separately in the fridge for up to 2 days; toast bread fresh before assembling.
